Some interesting, strange, and ironic things have been happening in my life lately. I can remember them on a daily basis but I am scared that one day I may lose these memories. So I thought blogging would be such a great way to remember these times! So here we go!
If you are a close friend or family member, you know that Eli and I are going through some major life changes. We currently live in Oxford and own our first home! We love love love our house and we enjoy Oxford but there is NO place like home. Home is Brookhaven. Home is where your heart is! Home is also where mama is and both of our lovely mothers are in Brookhaven. Home is that place that gives you small little butterflies when you think about leaving it! And home is where we are trying to be! But there are a few challenges we face in trying to get there. We have to sell this house that we love so much and have built our life around for the last year. We also have to find employment there and a new place to call our own.
If you know me, you also know that I am strong in my Catholic faith and love the Lord! Every good catholic knows that if you need something done and you need it done fast, you find a saint and pray to that saint. (No, catholics do not put saints above God nor do we worship saints!! But hey, if you read the same Bible as me, you know that these saints were pretty important to Jesus so they must be up to some good..right?) So I kept hearing that I needed to order a Saint Joseph statue to help our house sell. So last night...I did it!! I ordered that statue. He is on his way to Oxford and I just can't wait! I am ready to throw this whole house selling deal into the hands of God and let Him take control!! When my Saint Joseph arrives I will be sure to keep y'all posted on what takes place!
Eli is my warrior and my worrier! His mind never shuts off and he is constantly thinking about how he can make our situation better. He has spent the last four months preparing to be a licensed home inspector. He will take his national home inspectors test next month and we need all of the prayers we can get!
Ok.. ready for one of these weird, strange, ironic things that has happened in my life lately.. ok good!
Last night Eli and I were talking about his inspection course and where he is with it. As he began to get discouraged about it and frustrated I tuned in to the ever famous FACEBOOK. (Probably not what a great wife should do when your husband is venting to you but hey!) So as I am checking out every one's status' I come across one that caught my eye! This friends status read : Does anyone know someone that does home inspection in Brookhaven. I automatically explode! ELI READ THIS!! If that was not just a small little sign from God?! And I thank God for that sign because that status fired my Eli up! He is locked, cocked, and ready to rock!!!
I have this verse posted on our bathroom mirror and I am a firm believer of it : Do NOT worry about anything; instead PRAY about everything. Tell GOD what you need, and thank him for ALL that HE has done. Phil 4:6
And that my friends is why I am so cool..calm..and collective.. I will talk about me another day!
This is enough for now so enjoy!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! I LOVE YOU ALL!!

I loved your first blog post!!! And there's another story and thing that God is doing to give you all a peace of mind and to let you know that everything is going to work out in His timing! I can't wait for y'all to be back in Brookhaven!
